The Pirkka Stool by Artek was originally designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara as a seat on which to cool off after the sauna. Drawing on traditional Finnish furniture design, the Pirkka is perfectly suited to clean, modern interiors. The seat consists of two separated pieces of curved pinewood, which provide comfort while the opening between pieces serves as a handle for easy movement.
