Designed by EOOS for Carl Hansen & Son as part of the Embrace Collection, the Embrace Table E020 is a functional design that merges wood and steel to create a distinctive statement. Inspired by a kite blowing in the wind, the design is a unique, sculptural expression. Contrasted by the lightness of the frame, the wooden tabletop seems to float on the stable frame and fits seamlessly with the Embrace Chair and Embrace Armchair. The piece is crafted from three components - a solid wooden base, a steel wire structure, and a round tabletop designed to facilitate communication. The table legs have been pulled to the center to maximize legroom, allowing for optimal functionality and social interaction. The Embrace Table is available in three different sizes. Established in Vienna in 1995 by Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl, Austrian design collaborative, EOOS draws inspiration for their works from a unique process called Poetical Analysis. Their method focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, to make connections that extend beyond initial perceptions.
